MORNINGTIME 2515

Beloved, THINK IT NOT STRANGE CONCERNING THE FIERY TRIAL WHICH IS TO TRY YOU, as though some strange thing happened unto you: BUT REJOICE, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also WITH EXCEEDING JOY. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, HAPPY ARE YE; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, BUT ON YOUR PART HE IS GLORIFIED. 1 Peter 4:12-14. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2. When you're doing your job and everything just goes right, and the Boss gives you a big public "Atta-boy", it seems like you've accomplished something, and that feels good. Before time began, it was decided in Heaven that Christ would pay with His Life and Blood the full bloody Sacrificial payment to redeem all of mankind, and THAT brought a Joy to Christ that made the Cross (comparatively speaking) a cake walk. I have to believe that the Joy that Christ felt seeing THE END RESULTS of His Obedience to the Father and The Work of the Cross, that the pain and suffering OF the Cross was very little when compared to the Joy of the finished results. A small illustration, (very small), you have a very painful toothache, and you go to see the dentist. You KNOW that whatever pain the dentist inflicts will be very small when compared to the Joy of the Pain Free life after the dentist is done doing whatever he needs to do. It's not about enjoying THE PAIN, it's the Joy AFTER the pain that makes the pain bearable. If you're Joyful about the pain free life after the dentist, how much more for Christ AFTER the Cross and its results? Should we not Rejoice NOW, in our lite afflictions here and now, when looking at Christ's finished  work on the cross for us? NOW, Be Blessed.
