MORNINGTIME 2529

THE PROVERBS OF SOLOMON. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death. The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame. Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall. The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.  Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. Proverbs 10:1-12. Some people say they won't read the Bible because there are too many these and thou's. Others say it's too hard to understand. Some find it too convicting while others just plain tell the truth and say they don't have time. (That's ok, eventually they WILL have an eternity to think about the Truth of what little they did know). Nobody HAS to read the Bible and no excuses are needed. If you like, DON'T. But to those who Love the Lord, reading the Bible is A Joy. And the parts you don't understand? That's easy, JUST ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TEACH YOU THE TRUTH OF WHAT YOU'RE READING. He Loves to make the "complicated" understandable. Try the Books of Psalms and Proverbs. (see above). This is about as simple as it gets and literally ANYBODY can read them and come away with more Wisdom than they can hold for the day. It's as simple as this, if you Love Christ, YOU'LL LOVE HIS WORD, read His Word, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
