MORNINGTIME 2574

HUMBLE YOURSELVES therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7. A worldly person has no god to pray to because they are a god unto themselves. So if there is no god higher than themself, they have no one to humble themselves to, therefore, the only humbling they are capable  of is still, as much as humanly possible, looking for the opportunity to climb over others as they try to race up the ladder to their own version of "success". Any appearance of "humility" is really a calculated move to greater success in the eyes of the people around them. Someone else must recognize their success, their greatness, their worthiness to this higher, greater, position. In the game of golf, to hit a hole in one is a great thing, if others see it, otherwise, it's your word telling a story about your own greatness, with no proof, that you hope others will believe. In the cutthroat world of man's  credibility, no one will believe you without proof. In the World of the Christian, there is no social ladder to climb, no one to impress, no one to be "better than". Christ is our Head, our Leader, our Master, and to humbly lay  at His Feet in Humble Reverence and Subjection  simply means to be still, quiet, at peace with your self, as you patiently Wait upon the Lord for His next instruction. To Live and Work in Christ is to Live and Work for and too, the Glory of Christ, that Christ receive all the Glory, so that at the end of the day, Christ is Magnified and Glorified as we take our places  behind His Footstool. Christ is Exalted and HE is The Prize. In the End, to hear those words, "Will done thou good and Faithful servant, enter into the Joy of thy Lord" is all the accolades a Believer needs to hear. To be humble, is to move ONLY in Obedience to and Trust In, Christ. Only in and through Christ will A Believer, Be Blessed.
