MORNINGTIME 2575

Though I might also have CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I MORE: Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, THOSE I COUNTED LOSS FOR CHRIST. Yea doubtless, and I COUNT ALL THINGS BUT LOSS FOR the excellency of the knowledge of CHRIST Jesus my Lord: for whom I HAVE SUFFERED THE LOSS OF ALL THINGS, AND DO COUNT THEM BUT DUNG, that I may win Christ,  And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Philippians 3:4,6-9. This is Paul, the Apostle, going over his qualifications as a righteous man in the eyes of God. Before he met Christ, he was the top man in his church. He did everything by the rules and would crush any subversive activities that came against the church, and this new "Christianity" was subversive. he was a Pharisees, a very legalistic teacher who showed how holy he was by his external works and absolute adherence to ALL the Law. Now Paul is explaining that all those wonderful looking religious things he did before he met Christ, ALL amounted to a big pile of dung, after he met Christ. The Law can only point out sin and Paul was an excellent follower of The Law. This gave him the ability to point out sin, in other people. When he met Christ, Christ pointed out all HIS Sins, and that changed him forever. He went from strict legalism, to Mercy and Grace, Kindness, Love, and Compassion. Jesus Christ gave him A Heart for Relationship with people, and with Christ. Now he can teach CHRISTLIKENESS to the sheep of Christ with the attitude of, "Been there, done that, got the T shirt, I KNOW Whom I'm talking about". As we study His Word, we too will Grow in  CHRISTLIKENESS, the same as Paul experienced, and to share Christ with others who have yet to meet Christ, that we ALL may, Be Blessed.
