MORNINGTIME 2595

All SCRIPTURE IS given by inspiration of God, and is PROFITABLE for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God MAY BE PERFECT, throughly furnished UNTO ALL GOOD WORKS. 2 Timothy 3:16-17. (I will be "liberal" in my description, yes, but is it possible to be TOO liberal)? Thayer's Definition of "perfect": fitted, complete, perfect, having reference apparently to "special aptitude for given uses". We are to study the scriptures for a number of very good reasons. One is to Grow in CHRISTLIKENESS, to be like Christ, to copy Him in Perfect Obedience, AS MUCH AS THESE HUMAN BODIES WILL ALLOW. Christ didn't have a sinful physical father like we do, so that in itself limits our Growth. Nevertheless, just how Hungry ARE you to be like Christ. Are you "going for the Gold" giving it all you have to Walk in your best Obedience possible? Or have you already come up with 5 reasons why you can't grow in Christ, Because... That in itself is the best reason to not grow In Him, because you're thinking "can't". (Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with your attitude, there's still hope). Aah, but for you who want all of Christ and won't stop asking for more, GOoD for you, go for it. I have no idea where the top end is, but that doesn't matter, JUST KEEP ASKING, GROWING, OBEYING, AND LIVING IN CHRIST. Until He tells you, "That's enough, you can't Grow any more", KEEP IT UP, KEEP Going. Our human understanding can't fathom all that Christ has in store for each one of us. You may preach your best sermon ever, and they kill you. You may get to preach like Spurgeon and die of old age, ONLY CHRIST KNOWS ALL HE HAS FOR YOU, so, are you asking Him for it? For everything He Died For on the Cross of Calvary FOR YOU? Be Encouraged, don't listen to ANYONE who starts to say, "You can't..." when it comes to your Walk In and With Christ. To them, "can't" means "quit". KEEP GOING, Christ is The Prize, besides Him, what else matters to, Be Blessed?
