For I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and YE SHALL BE HOLY; FOR I AM HOLY: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be Holy, for I am Holy. Leviticus 11:44-45. YE SHALL DO MY JUDGMENTS, and keep mine ordinances, TO WALK THEREIN: I am the Lord your God. Ye shall therefore KEEP MY STATUTES, AND MY JUDGMENTS: which if a man do, HE SHALL LIVE IN THEM: I am the Lord. Leviticus 18:4-5. I am the Lord : that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:8. Thus saith the Lord , thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I AM THE LORD thy God WHICH TEACHETH THEE to profit, which leadeth thee by THE WAY THAT THOU SHOULDEST GO . Isaiah 48:17. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED. Acts 4:12. Fifty years ago, if you spoke to someone about the Lord, a few would get angry, most would at least listen, and those who actually went to church were mostly respectful of the fact that they were "In the House of the Lord". Today, is a whole 'nuther ballgame". There is generally almost no respect for the Lord outside the church, AND EVEN LESS INSIDE THE CHURCH. Most pew sitters don't care and the preacher REALLY doesn't care, as long as he gets his paycheck. Most congregations lap up the slop feed to them by the world and worldly pastors while the few sheep sitting over in the corner are starving for even a few crumbs while they Pray and Intercede for the pastor and his service anyway. Don't misunderstand, the Body of Christ is Alive and Well and the Lord is taking very good care of them. They go to church to give and pray for, they mostly don't expect much FROM the pastor while they pray FOR the pastor, in the Hopes that HE will, Be Blessed.
