For if AFTER THEY HAVE ESCAPED the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, THEY ARE AGAIN ENTANGLED therein, AND OVERCOME, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, then, AFTER THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM the holy commandment delivered unto them. 2 Peter 2:20-21. We can't know the heart attitude of a person and if they are truly saved or not, only the Lord knows that. We'll have to leave that one alone. A case in point. Judas Iscariot walked with Christ for 3 years plus. He heard The Truth, he cast out sickness and demons, he saw Christ in action at every turn, AND IN THE END, HE DENIED CHRIST AND TURNED AWAY FROM THE LORD AND SAVIOUR. I'll illustrate. Judas could have branched off and started "The church of the Precious Silver", and have a following. He had the best credentials, he walked, talked, ate, and ministered Christ to others JUST LIKE THE OTHER 11 DISCIPLES. BUT HE FELL FROM GRACE. The point of all this is not, was he truly a Christian, (can a Christian lose their salvation), but whatever he was, HE FELL BACK INTO WORLDLY SIN, HE LIVED, AND DIED WITHOUT CHRIST. In today's language, is the TV or radio personality you like to listen to STILL Walking with Christ, or have the left their first Love? Just because they once LOOKED like a "Christian" doesn't mean they still are. How does their Life TODAY compare to Christ and His Word? A "has been", used to be. That's ancient history. Are they Following Christ TODAY. All the great religions of the world today were started by someone who, AT THAT TIME, looked like a "godly" person. Did they STAY Godly to the very end, or did their teachings and theology start going downhill? Was Christ their original "hook" to get a following, then they sold out and taught things OTHER than Christ? Don't look at, "Well, he used to be...", look at his whole life today. Will he still, Be Blessed?
