MORNINGTIME 2625

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, GOD BE MERCIFUL TO ME A SINNER. Luke 18:13. And David said unto God, I HAVE SINNED GREATLY, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.  1 Chronicles 21:8. I said, Lord , be merciful unto me: HEAL MY SOUL; for I have sinned against thee. Psalm 41:4. These are cries of Anguish from people who have wronged the Lord and want to be free from the burden of sin. This is True Repentance, not just asking to be forgiven, but to be cleansed FROM ALL that sin brings with it, guilt, shame, anguish of soul, and even, "I've hurt you Lord". Worldly salvation, straight from the pit of Hell itself, is, go up front, say the prayer someone tells you to say, "Now repeat after me", sign the card, join the church, and the preacher tells the congregation, "Welcome our new brother in the Lord", AND THAT'S ALL, you're still not Saved and you're still going to Hell. When a sinner comes to understand that he has sinned against God Himself and falls at the feet of Christ asking Him to Forgive him of his sins, that's just the start of a lifelong process of, was saved, is being saved, and will be saved, until the day they die. I'll explain. True Salvation is not just being Forgiven of past sins, as in, "I Forgive you", that's just a foot in the door. True Repentance is seeing your sins in all their wicked "glory", asking Christ to Forgive you of them, AND ASKING THE LORD TO CLEANSE AND PURIFY YOU BY TAKING THE CAUSE OF THAT WICKEDNESS OUT OF YOUR HEART. This is the Holy Spirit taking the rot and filth of sin out of your heart and replacing it with a Love for Christ that is so great, you don't even want to THINK about sin. The "pleasures" of sin are being taken away as the Joy Of The Lord fills your very being. Growing In Christ is A Lifelong Journey, and one where you will, Be Blessed.
