MORNINGTIME 2649

And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning THE FAITH IN CHRIST. And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, FELIX TREMBLED, and answered, GO THY WAY for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore HE SENT FOR HIM the oftener, and communed with him. Acts 24:24-26. Felix heard The Gospel and came under such heavy  conviction, HE TREMBLED. That's more than most people who go to church today, hear the Gospel, yawn, and go home convinced that was an excellent message that the guy in the pew next to him should definitely take to heart. The rest of the story is, Felix hardened his heart against the Word with the hopes that Paul would try to bribe his way to freedom. Yes, he heard the Gospel for 2 more years, but that was only to get a bribe for Paul's freedom. It didn't work. Here's what really happened. Felix kept asking Paul to Preach to him and Paul kept Preaching The Gospel to Felix, HEAPING MORE AND MORE GOSPEL COALS OF FIRE ON FELIX'S HEAD. The Word will NOT return void, so Felix will have to account for each and every Gospel Word he heard AND Rejected, on Judgment Day. He will have to give an account of EVERY rejection of the Gospel he ever heard. His rejections just kept piling up and that kind of "Gospel Weight" on a man's heart SHOULD bring him to conviction, repentance, and Salvation. But every rejection just adds to the hardness of one's heart until that person dies a Christless Death. How many people in church today come back Sunday after Sunday hearing The Gospel, AND KEEP REJECTING IT? Without  Repentance, Death and Hell are all they have to look forward to. Hell is a Sinners Dream Come True. Never again will they have to put up with Christ nagging them to Get Saved.   Aaahhhh, peace and quiet, and no more Christ to, Be Blessed.
