Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, YE WOULD LOVE ME: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent Me. (Question) Why do ye not understand my speech? (Answer). even because YE CANNOT HEAR MY WORD. Ye are of YOUR FATHER, THE DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the Truth, because THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the Truth, YE BELIEVE ME NOT. Which of you convinceth (convicts) me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? HE THAT IS OF GOD HEARETH GOD'S WORDS: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. John 8:42-47. To Believe God is to Live as if His Words were important. That they are True and will give us Direction. The Bible IS the Word of God, the Words that God Himself spoke. The WHOLE Bible is His Word. The Words of Christ, usually printed in red, are just as important. THERE IS NO SEPARATING CHRIST'S WORDS FROM GOD'S WORDS. They are one in the same. Therefore, to Love Christ is to Love God, and to Love Him is to Love His Word, to Live By, Trust In, Follow, Obey, Praise, and Adore Him. The Three as One, the One as Three, IT'S ALL THE SAME, IT'S ALL LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. To Love God is to Grow in Trust in and Obedience To, His Word. Yes, there is a "learning curve" as we Trust Him more and more, but to call yourself a "Christian", is to have a Heart SET ON CHRIST. Now here's the bad news. To hear The Word Of God, (Truth), and to decide, it isn't for you, it doesn't apply to you, and it's not important to you, is to make His Word a LIE, and this makes God a liar. You now become more knowledgeable than God Himself because you are now deciding which part of His Word is True, and which part is not True. That's what sin is all about, "I know what's better for me more than God does". To Sin, is to NOT, Be Blessed.
