ASK, and it shall be given you; SEEK, and ye shall find; KNOCK, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that ASKETH receiveth; and he that SEEKETH findeth; and to him that KNOCKETH it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ASK ANY THING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARETH US: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15. Ye ask, and receive not, BECAUSE YE ASK AMISS, that ye may consume it upon your lust. James 4:3. So THIS is the fine print, after that wonderful "Promise" verse about ask, seek, and knock, that all those big name Prosperity Gospel Preachers DON'T tell you about. They preach A.S.K. (Ask, Seek, Knock), and will quickly tell you that you'll get everything you ask for, IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH FAITH. Just look at them and see how great faith they have. They have all the wine, women, and song they could ever want, AND MORE. Yes, their god DOES bless them big time, this is their "Best Life Now" because there WILL be Hell to pay later. Very rarely will you hear of a Godly Preacher with lots of stuff, because they are constantly sharing and giving away to whomsoever the Lord directs them to. With a little Discernment a Believer can quickly and easily know who the phony, and who the Real, preachers are. Even a little Red Flag is enough to warn off all those seeking Truth. So then, should a Christian be poor? Let's answer that this way. If you continually A.S.K. the Lord to reveal more and more of Christ to you, as you learn to Obey Him, AND HE BECOMES YOUR EVERYTHING, you'll find you don't need to ask for stuff because you have Everything in and through Christ, and He will meet ALL your needs, because you have learned to ask Rightly, in your prayers. And when you find that you have Everything you NEED, suddenly all the WANTS fall by the wayside. With your eyes on Christ, then your A.S.K. WILL, Be Blessed.
