MORNINGTIME 2668

MORNINGTIME 2669 THAT THE TRIAL OF YOUR FAITH, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it BE TRIED WITH FIRE, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1 Peter 1:7-10. Christians live in two worlds at the same time. The new one is, in Christ, Forgiven, Saved, Holy, Fellowship with God. The old one is the world, old habits, old friends, still sinning, lack of obedience. How do these two contradictions live in you at the same time? When one gets Saved, they get a New Heart, new Desires, a new Love for Christ, and that's all GOoD, but the reality is, some old Things are still hanging on and need to be dealt with. For example, you Love the Lord, but even doing simple things can get you angry. Why? This is the Lord working out situations EXACTLY AS YOU NEED THEM FOR YOU TO SEE THAT ANGER STILL HAS A "Hold" ON YOU. No, this doesn't mean you're oppressed or possessed by anger, it just means the Lord is dealing with this issue. He's bringing it to "the surface" SO YOU CAN SEE IT’S STILL THERE. The idea is, when you discover this, you take it to the Lord and He will help you THROUGH the Battle and come out the other side VICTORIOUS over sin. There are times when one gets Saved and an old habit suddenly dies, never to return. But there are other times when the Lord shows you a Thing you thought you were done with, and He tells you, "Son, let's deal with this", and you say, "Yes Lord, let's deal with it". Now, each time THE LORD ALLOWS that Thing to come up, and you say "NO", and don't fall for it, that's Learning Obedience and "killing" the old ways of the flesh. Flesh dies, Christ is Glorified, and you get to, Be Blessed.
