MORNINGTIME 2697

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20. I am reminded of the story of a guy in church one of the ladies had been watching, and she decided he didn't look like the standard Christian should look, so she figured he must not be a Christian. But to be fair, she would confront the man about his apparent gruffness. She commented to him, "You seem to be a pretty gruff man sir", to which he replied, "Yes Ma'am, if you think I'm gruff now, you should have seen me BEFORE I got Saved". So much for judging a man by some "Christian Standard". A changed life doesn't mean changed from some debaucherous life style to a certain style of "Christian appearance", because that would be judging someone to a standard one has made up in their own mind. There is no "Christian Standard" you can hold up to compare a man to. It IS what Jesus said it would be, A Changed Life. Changed from worldliness, (can you describe the sludge at the bottom of the septic tank) to and towards CHRISTLIKENESS. On a "scale" of 0 to 100, he may have been a solid 10 before Christ got him, and now he's a 20, AND GROWING IN THE LORD VERY NICELY, THANK YOU MA'AM. It's a dangerous thing to judge people this way because you have to come up with some "Standard" to judge by. How 'bout you just Pray for everyone you come across today that they will find Christ, or if they already Know Christ, you continue to pray they will Grow in A Deeper Walk WITH Christ. I'll illustrate. In the past, I worked for a man that "indicated" he was a Christian. So instead of judging him to some standard I could make up, I just talked to him as if he actually were my Brother. You know, say Grace at mealtime, Testify of the Mercy and Grace of the Lord, and share stories of the Lord Moving for me in many situations. I still have Great Hope he will, Be Blessed.
