MORNINGTIME 2698

But we know that the law is good, IF A MAN USE IT LAWFULLY; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but FOR THE LAWLESS and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,  For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 1 Timothy 1:8-10. OK Christian, is it time for a little self - examination here? The "Law" is a standard that will show if someone is sinning or not. The Law will mean nothing to someone who is absolutely perfectly obedient to everything Christ asks them to do. But for the rest of us who still sin, to look at the law can be a real eye opener. For example, do you still hold a grudge against a Brother, or have no love towards a certain family member? Do you still speed on the interstate, like in the good ole days, just not as often? Do you actually tithe 10%, or is that Old Testament stuff? Do you still "check out" the women (or men)? You get the picture. The point is, we can walk in the Love of Christ and feel like we're good Christians, but to look at "The Law" once in a while can be a bit of a Reality Check, if you want to use the Law, Lawfully. This is not "legalism", but it does come down under the heading of Self-Examination. No guilt intended here, just a look - see at how we're Growing. The Law is a GOoD Standard to look at. Yes, Christ Lived and Fulfilled all the Law, and in Him we are Forgiven of our sins of breaking The Law, but to take a look at where we came from and where we are going to, can be a help in our day to day Walk with Christ. Do you see any place you can improve on? That's the good part of looking at the law, it will show you a deficiency in you you might need to work on. You, look at you, through the Law, NOT OTHERS, and, Be Blessed.
