For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days SHOULD BE SHORTENED, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: AND THEN SHALL APPEAR the sign of THE SON OF MAN in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:29-30. And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:14. Strong's Definition of Tribulation; “From G2346; pressure (literally or figuratively): - afflicted (-tion) anguish burdened persecution tribulation trouble". I have purposefully picked out the worst sounding, toughest to go through, and most frightening aspects of "Tribulation", and this is it. This #G2346 is the same throughout the New Testament. If you sip a spoonful of water, or a quart of water, the water doesn't change, only the amount does. Some go through small (amounts) of tribulation, some will go through great (amounts) of tribulation, but the tribulation is the same (definition). And the part of, "except those days SHOULD BE SHORTENED" is talking about Satan on the rampage killing all he can of EVERYBODY, just to keep them out of God's Hands. The TYPE of tribulation is the same, the AMOUNT is more. ALL Christians will pass through tribulation on their way Home. There is only one more Return of Christ, IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION, where Christ comes back for ALL Believers, at one time, and it will be no secret, EVERY eye shall see Him, and all His WILL, Be Blessed.
