MORNINGTIME 2738

FOR WHAT IF SOME DID NOT BELIEVE? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, LET GOD BE TRUE, BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:3-4. But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I WILL NOT: BUT AFTERWARD HE REPENTED, AND WENT.  And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go , sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. Matthew 21:28-31. The first son is an illustration of a man before he gets Saved. How many times and ways had you heard something about God and the Bible and said, "No, that's not for me"? You outright rejected Christ every time He Called, until the last time, and you Repented and finally said, "Yes Lord", and you got Saved? Every one of us started off lost saying NO, and later Repented unto "YES", and started a Journey of Growing Faith in the Lord God Almighty. This Journey IS A GROWING PROCESS. Just like BOTH sons in this parable, the Father says "Do" and we say "Yes", and then don't, or we say "No" and then Do. Many times we will be like either son, and then change to the other. The Key here is not the legalism of Disobeying God, again, but through Mercy and Grace, GROWING IN OBEDIENCE more and more often until, like Paul, whatever the Lord asks of you, you gladly and willingly jump to instant Obedience with never again giving a thought to saying "No". You've come to the place where the Lord has Proven Himself Faithful to you to such a degree that "No" no longer enters the thinking. GROWING, in Obedience, will pay off with A Life of Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity, and THAT'S where you WILL, Be Blessed.
