MORNINGTIME 2752

Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16. (OK, this is the goal, so how do we get there? Here's the answer, first), SUBMIT yourselves therefore to God. (Only the Lord has the authority to actually change your heart, next), RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you. (Once you "get Saved", you now belong to Christ, He literally OWNS you, and you now have His Permission AND Authority to command Satan to go away, for a season, as you learn Who Christ is, and who you are In Him). DRAW NIGH to God, and he will draw nigh to you. (With Satan "out of the way" for a while, it's just now you, and Christ. It's good to "see" Him, that's comforting, but you must head in His Direction, to start moving closer to Him. Remember, He's not some "pie in the sky" concept you can only see, He's more Real than all the physical things around you. And as you move closer to Him, you'll start to notice He is TOTALLY Pure, Righteous, and Holy, and you're not. So He will show you how to), CLEANSE YOUR HANDS ye sinners; (This means you  start to let go of the sinful things you used to do out in the world, as the Lord takes out of you your old heart full of lust and sin, and replaces it with a new Heart full of Love and Desire for Christ and His Ways). and PURIFY YOUR HEARTS, ye double minded. (You're at a place of moving away from sin and moving towards Christ. As you give up an old sin, He'll show you another one He also wants to work on. As you face your love for this old sin, you'll gladly give it up as He replaced it with more Love for Him). BE AFFLICTED, and MOURN, and WEEP: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. (This is seeing the vile things still trying to hide in secrete corners of your heart, so you will), HUMBLE YOURSELVES in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (out of the "despair" of understanding just how wretched you were, as you move into the Joy of understanding who you now are In Christ). James 4:7-10. Be Blessed.
