MORNINGTIME 2785

WHOSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN OF GOD. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God....(I have removed the end of this verse for tomorrow). 1 John 3:9-10. This repeats earlier verses, and when the Lord repeats Himself, it's REALLY  important. Let's make this really tough. A Christian can't sin, and a sinner can't act like a Christian. When you come to Christ in Repentance asking for Forgiveness, there is a seed, a part of Christ, planted inside you that is Pure Christ. Let's call it a Seed of CHRISTLIKENESS. It is Pure, Holy, and Righteousness ready to Bloom inside you. As you Feed this seed with Prayer, Reading His Word, and Learning Who Christ Is, you're feeding that Seed and it starts Growing. As Christ fills you, worldliness, sin, and the works of the flesh are pushed out. It may be that you find you no longer do that "thing" you used to do all the time. The desire is Gone. And when a deep seated hidden old sin shows itself, (yes, you did a sin again), it will absolutely tear you up inside because you did something displeasing to the Lord. THAT is the Holy Spirit at work in you. His Presence in you is why that sin now bothers you so much. Again, Repentance cleanses the Heart as you ask Him to take that Sin desire OUT of your Heart For Christ. That Seed of CHRISTLIKENESS is now a small Tree firmly rooted in Christ, and growing. Its roots are feeding on those Springs of Living Waters. This is why daily Prayer and Repentance are so refreshing, you are literally cleansing your Soul every time an old sin way shows its ugly head, Christ rips it out by the roots. Christ in you CAN'T sin, and your remaining sin can't ACT like Christ. IT'S ON ITS WAY OUT, thank you Lord. This IS the Christian Life. "Religious" unbelievers can't act like Christ for long, they WILL be found out. Be Found IN Christ, and, Be Blessed.
