MORNINGTIME 2787

Hereby perceive we the Love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR THE BRETHREN. 1 John 3:16. One meaning for this verse can be summed up with this verse, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". John 15:13. Christ died for us, He died in our place, He took our Death Sentence on us, UPON HIMSELF, that we might have a little more time to "get right with God", to get Saved, before we die. If you're walking down the street with an unsaved friend and a man comes at you both with a gun, would you "take a bullet" that your friend might have a few more minutes to get Saved? No, you can't die in his place for his sins, Christ has already done that for ALL. But your actions might give him A Godly Example of putting him first, at your expense, and he Gets Saved. Another definition of these verses is, you, as a Christian, seriously Follow and Obey Christ in all you say and do, dedicating all your time here on earth to Teaching and Preaching the Word Of God to ANYONE and EVERYONE, that they might be saved. You set aside all your present worldly interests to instead Live For and In the Heavenly Interests of the Lord God Almighty towards man. Actually, to take a bullet for your friend will take the rest of your very short life. And to Preach Christ to a lost and dying world WILL take the rest of your Life. This Attitude can only be brought forth if your Faith in Christ is, "I live, or I die, whatever time I have on this old earth is in the hands of the Lord". And on top of all this, the "Rest" of your Life, besides being a "Time" definition, can also mean to Lay Down IN and WITH Christ in utter Joy, Peace, and Contentment, for the rest of your days, whether few or many, on this earth. Any way you take this, EVERYONE goes home a Winner. This is also Living your Life with NO FEAR OF ANYTHING, except for a Holy and Reverent Fear of the Lord God Almighty. Now Go Praise Christ, and, Be Blessed.
