MORNINGTIME 2802

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:14-15. Here's a simple illustration for these two verses. Tom just got back from vacation and is excited to tell his best friend Joe all about it. So Tom tells Joe, "Hey Joe, ask me about my vacation". So Joe responds, "OK Tom, how was your vacation, tell me all about it". To which Tom replies excitedly, "I'm so glad you asked Joe, let me tell you all about it". Now that Tom has a willing listener, he tells Joe every detail. (I did say it was a simple illustration). No longer do you need to say, "I don't know the Will of the Lord for my life", because the Lord is more than willing to tell you all about it, if you'll just ask Him. And to ask the Lord a question, means you're willing to hear His answer. His answer may come quickly, or it may be a while, ARE YOU WILLING TO WAIT UPON THE LORD FOR HIS ANSWER IN HIS TIME? Can you Be Still while you're waiting? (Here's my point). Or do you always have lots of "noise" going on around you all day? Watching TV, listening to the radio, watching YouTube, talking on the phone? These are not bad things, there is a need for them IN THEIR PROPER PLACE. but do these things drown out the Lord when He does answer your question, AND YOU MISS HIS ANSWER? If the Lord were to tell you, "Turn off the radio, TV, YouTube, and keep your phone calls short, let's talk", could you? Can you go cold turkey and shut it all down, and spend you day just talking to Him, Fellowshipping with Him, and listening for His even slightest Whisper as He Fellowships with you? This "peace and quiet" will become very sweet as Talking With The Father becomes First Priority and fills center stage in your Life. The Lord has A LOT to say, so much so that He's even written a Book about Himself. Read it, Fellowship, Listen, and, Be Blessed.
