MORNINGTIME 2843

Finally, MY BRETHREN, BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND  IN THE THE POWER OF HIS  MIGHT. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. FOR WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:10-12. But I say unto you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44. May I combine a couple verses to say the same thing, a little differently? For we wrestle not against flesh and blood people, but against the demonic influences BEHIND those people. Even Christ, while He was dying on the cross said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...." Luke 23:34. He was praying for Forgiveness FOR THE PEOPLE doing Him wrong as those people were just pawns being used and influenced by Satan himself. Notice Christ didn't pray for the Father to stop this people from doing what they were doing, because He Knew the Father had a Greater Plan than just the obvious death of Christ. For us today, we are to use the Whole Armour of God (be careful here) to come against Satanic Influence, BUT NOT COME AGAINST THE WILL OF GOD. Keep in mind, Satan has been SOUNDLY DEFEATED and is on a leash under the Control of The Lord. The Lord will even use Satan (who wants to kill Christians) TO ACCOMPLISH GROWTH IN CHRISTIANS, INTO EVEN GREATER CHRISTLIKENESS. "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good...." Genesis 50:20. As a Christian, the Holy Spirit will teach you the difference between an outright attack or onslaught from Satan against you, and the Lord allowing trouble in your life TO DRAW YOU CLOSER TO CHRIST. For example, the difference between a man in a dark alley with a knife, and a Doctor in the Hospital with a knife. Seek and Trust Christ, and, Be Blessed.
