Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THE LION. 2 Timothy 4:17. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, AS A ROARING LION, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, AFTER THAT YE HAVE SUFFERED A WHILE, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:9-10. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, (there is also) that which cometh upon me daily, (in) the care of all the churches. 2 Corinthians 11:23-28. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, THEREFORE THE WORLD HATETH YOU. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, THEY WILL ALSO PERSECUTE YOU; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. John 15:19-20. Suffering and persecution are all part of The Package of all those on their way to Heaven. Suffer Peacefully, and, Be Blessed.
