MORNINGTIME 2856

AND THE LORD HARDENED THE HEART OF PHARAOH, and (Pharaoh) hearkened not unto (the children of Israel); as the Lord had spoken unto Moses. Exodus 9:12. Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord's house; and said to all the people, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, BECAUSE (the people) HAVE HARDENED THEIR NECKS, THAT THEY MIGHT NOT HEAR MY WORDS. Jeremiah 19:14-15. So which is it, does God harden hearts, or do people harden hearts? If God actually hardened Pharaoh's Heart, then on Judgment Day, when Pharaoh stands before the Lord to be Judged for his actions, Pharaoh could look the Lord straight in the eye and say, "What chance did I have, YOU Lord, hardened my heart so that I would disobey You"? If we continue down this road, God ends up being "The Bad Guy" and sinners don't have a chance. OR, here's what all this really means. Reread Jeremiah 19:14-15, and the "hardened heart" squarely falls on the person NOT WANTING TO HEAR FROM THE LORD. The Lord Knows EVERYONE'S Heart long before Time ever began. He Knows who will, and who won't, Follow Him. Every individual person to ever walk this earth, has free reign to FREELY choose to Follow the Lord, OR NOT. The Lord Knew that Pharaoh's Heart would be continually AGAINST the Lord, so the Lord put Pharaoh "in office", to use Pharaoh's already Hard Heart AGAINST the Jews, SO ALL THE WORLD COULD SEE THE HAND OF GOD FOR THE JEWS, and that the Lord would receive all the Glory for Saving the Jews FROM THE HANDS OF THE HARD HEARTED PHARAOH. Right now, in today's language, YOUR HEART is For, or Against, the Lord, BY YOUR OWN CHOICE. YOU can Freely Choose to Repent of your Sins and Follow Christ TODAY, OR NOT. It's your Free Choice. No one, not God OR Satan, will MAKE you choose Christ, or not. Freely, Choose Christ, and, Be Blessed.
