Thayer's Definition of "Lusts"; desire, craving, longing, desire for what is forbidden. A short and sweet way to say this, Flee worldly desires, and run to Christ. Satan is the master of illusion, delusion, and deception, and who better to go after than the young people. And what better ways to shape a young person's theology than through bullying, intimidation, and peer pressure? And who better to go after, than young people still trying to figure out who they are and what they want in life? Young people are the perfect vehicle for Satan to go after because if he can get them, and keep them away from Christ, he's got them, (he thinks), for life. A famous hamburger joint believes, If you can get the kids, you've got them for life. Children and young people "Want" everything and generally have Understanding about very little. Easy targets for Satan. So what's the antidote for youthful lusts? Jesus Christ and His Word, His Will, and His Way. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6. The Lord designed children to be Teachable in all things Godly. Satan wants to teach them all things Worldly. THE BATTLE IS RAGING, and it's up to the parents to show them The Way. Therefore, if Satan can destroy Marriage and Family, you now have young people with no leadership and no direction. Now, the GOoD News. These verses also show that young people, and those wanting to flee youthful lusts, HAVE THE ABILITY, AND RESPONSIBILITY, (through Christ), TO CHOOSE TO FLEE FROM ALL THESE THINGS. Wash your mind with the Washing of the Water of the Word by studying The Word, that you can fend off all those fiery darts from the enemy. Through the Blood of Christ, you CAN follow after Holiness, Righteousness, and Purity, ALL the days of your Life, IF YOU CHOOSE TO, Be Blessed.
