MORNINGTIME 2994

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, WHILE HE SENT THE MULTITUDES AWAY. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, WALKING ON THE SEA. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, IT IS A SPIRIT; and THEY CRIED OUT FOR FEAR. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; BE NOT AFRAID. And PETER answered him and SAID, LORD, if it be thou, BID ME COME UNTO THEE on the water. And he said, Come. And when PETER was come down out of the ship, he WALKED ON THE WATER, to go to Jesus. BUT when HE saw the wind boisterous, he WAS AFRAID; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, LORD, SAVE ME. And immediately JESUS stretched forth his hand, and CAUGHT HIM, AND SAID unto him, O THOU OF LITTLE FAITH, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matthew 14:22, 24-31. A POSSIBLE SCENARIO. Jesus tells the disciples to go cross the lake as He sends the people home. Including jealous church leaders known to want to kill Christ. Next scene, "Oh no, Jesus is dead, they finally killed Him and His Ghost is about to go to Heaven". Peter cries out, "Lord, it is better to be with You, even if you're dead, that to be here without you. Call me out, I want to be with you, dead or alive". Peter climbed out of the boat to Obediently walk to Jesus, until he saw the boisterous waves coming to kill him too. Faith fell as he's about to drown. "Help me Lord, I want to be with you, even in death". Christ grabs Peter's hand, and the next thing Peter knows, he and Jesus, both alive, are climbing back into the boat, and the once deadly sea is calm again. Yes, this is a fanciful story, used to illustrate Peter's extreme Love for Christ. Dead or alive. To be WITH Christ was better than to be without Him. Does Life, or death, matter, if you're with Christ, so that you will, Be Blessed.
