Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. There are times when this is obvious and easy to obey. For example, don't date an unbeliever, and later you won't have to live with the regret of marrying one. Don't work at a bar thinking you can stop someone from, "Just one more drink, and I'll quit". These are obvious, but there are many situations much harder to call. Many times personal convictions play a big part. For example, I work for a good company, but they contribute a lot of money to the abortion lobby. Or, I'm a cashier but most of my sales are for alcohol. Or, I work for a telemarketer and I know what he wants me to sell is just junk. To some people the answer is obvious, don't. To others, it's a gray area. And to the others, it's OK. "Ya, how come you think you can tell me what to do, you've never walked a mile in my shoes". I'm sorry, but the only answer that will work for all Believers is, "You must be Obedient to what The Word tells you to do". The Word, the Bible, Christ, the Leading of the Holy Spirit, if you can be Obedient to all this, who is anyone else to tell you otherwise. Many people take a job, Grow in Biblical Understanding, and quit that job because of the Conviction of the Holy Spirit. And some stay in a bad job because the money is REALLY good. Be careful how you Judge, and, Be Blessed.
