MORNINGTIME 3115

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, HE OFFERED THEM MONEY, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, THY MONEY PERISH WITH THEE, because thou hast thought that the Gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: FOR THY HEART IS NOT RIGHT in the sight of God. REPENT therefore OF this THY WICKEDNESS, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, AND in the bond of INIQUITY. Acts 8:18-23. Simon's Heart was to buy the Gift of the Holy Spirit, and sell that Gift to others. This would be a real money maker for him, if he could pull it off. He saw money, not Christ. Think about it, the Holy Spirit brings Christ, and brings Life, into the lives of lost people. Salvation and Christ are freely given to sinful man, and still today, people "sell" Christ, still trying to "get a piece of the action". "For $1,000.00 dollars, I'll pray for you and your cancer will disappear, IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH FAITH". "For just $49.95, I'll send you this book of 5 key things you need to know to live a full Christian life". "For $200.00 you can get the soul of a loved one out of Purgatory and into Heaven". ALL SCAMS, ALL GREEDY FOR FILTHY LUCRE, (money). These people don't know Christ and His FREE GIFT OF SALVATION. Christ "Paid It All", on the Cross of Calvary. Even Simon "believed", but his heart still wasn't right and he was still on his way to Hell with the rest of the "christian" scam artists throughout the centuries. You can acquire Billions in gold, silver, and precious gems by "selling" Christ, and still go to Hell for "missing" Christ. FREELY show others, tell others, help others, to Ask, Seek, and Find Christ, the Most Precious Gift of all. Does your God provide for you to freely Give Christ, that you may, Be Blessed?
