MORNINGTIME 3116

So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I TOOK THE CROWN THAT WAS UPON HIS HEAD, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord. 2 Samuel 1:10. (A physical golden  crown as upon the head of a King). But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him. 2 Samuel 14:25. (Crown, as in the very top of his head). For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Psalm 8:5. (As in to SURROUND him with glory and honour). This is a word study of the word "crown" and it generally has 3 definitions. 1, A Golden Crown PLACED on the top of the king's head. 2, To signify the very TOP of the king's head, and 3, for the king to be surrounded WITH AND BY Glory and Honour. It could be said, "The King was crowned with a golden crown, upon the crown of his head, as he was crowned with Respect and Honour to and around him". Ya, that may be a bit much, but I hope you get the point. The hoary (gray haired) head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. Proverbs 16:31. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of (the Gift of Eternal) life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Revelation 4:4,10. As a side note, the 24 Elders are the only ones to remove and cast their (golden?) crowns before (at the feet of?) Christ's Throne. Does this Word study help you to, Be Blessed?
