For (Christ) shall grow up before (the Lord) as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; (he was not "good looking"), and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire (to look like) him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (God crushed His own son). But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: (the Roman soldiers really put a beating on Christ) the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity (sins) of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isaiah 53: 2-7. This is the Old Testament Prophet Isaiah telling us what the Life of Christ would look like. Reread the accounts of Christ beaten by the Roman soldiers, the mock trial, and the crucifixion of Christ on the cross, AND CHRIST SAID NOT A WORD OF COMPLAINT AGAINST ANY OF IT. (Please read carefully). If the Perfect Son of God, Christ, never defended Himself against all the false charges brought against Him, even through death, than do we today, have any reason to try to defend ourselves when false allegations are brought against us and we too are hauled before a judge AS FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST AND BEING LIKE HIM? "Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it": 1 Corinthians 4:11-12. Suffer quietly, and, Be Blessed.
