MORNINGTIME 3176

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators OF THIS WORLD, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of (into) the world(ly). But now I have written unto you NOT TO KEEP COMPANY, IF any man that is called A BROTHER BE A FORNICATOR, OR covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one NO NOT TO EAT. For what have I to do to judge them also that are WITHOUT (in the world)? do not YE JUDGE THEM THAT ARE WITHIN? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore PUT AWAY from among yourselves THAT WICKED PERSON. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? For the time is come that JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it first begin AT US, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 1 Peter 4:17-18. This is a general overview of Sin. The sin in and of the world, we are to leave it alone, meaning, don't go telling your unsaved friends they are sinners, and then walk away. But we ARE to judge sin IN the church, in the Body of Christ, more specifically, IN OURSELVES first. As you and the Lord deal with you and your sins, (as you grow away from worldliness and into CHRISTLIKENESS), we are also to call out sin in the Body of Christ. NOT AS POLICEMAN THROWING AROUND THE LAW, but first as a Compassionate Brother going to a Brother, ONE ON ONE, to talk to him about what you see as sin in his life. Hopefully he'll receive it from you, but if not, take a Brother with you to again talk to him. This is all part of Church Discipline as we clean up ourselves first. Be Ye Holy, and, Be Blessed.
