MORNINGTIME 3270

Likewise also THE CHIEF PRIESTS MOCKING HIM, with the scribes and elders, SAID, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, LET HIM NOW COME DOWN FROM THE CROSS, AND WE WILL BELIEVE HIM. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. Matthew 27:41-43. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; AND A GREAT COMPANY OF THE PRIESTS WERE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH. Acts 6:7. Here's the difference in Heart Attitude. All of the chief priests knew that no crucified man EVER came back from the dead to live again. They felt very safe in this knowledge and challenged Christ to come back from the dead. "He's a trouble-maker and we're finally going to be rid of him". Death was the End of it all, and Christ was going to die. Our problems are solved. BUT A FEW of the chief priests had been watching Christ and knew of His claims of being the Son of God, also knowing that death was The End, still held out hope that through some miracle, Christ would live again. They knew that Christ had done the Impossible of raising a few people from the dead, but could He raise Himself from the dead also? Their hopes and prayers were answered 3 days later when Christ was seen walking around town looking even better than before He died. Many of these priests went from sarcastic, to Saved, Christ actually Proved He was Who He said He was, AND IN THE FACE OF ALL SATANIC OPPOSITION, THEY BECAME FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. They saw, and Believed. "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, AND YET HAVE BELIEVED. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have Life through His Name". John 20:29-31. Can you Believe, and, Be Blessed?
