In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength. Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth. I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the Lord. I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities; And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room. Psalm 31:1-8. This is a man who Loves, Honours, Trusts and Obeys the Lord. Yet he is suffering greatly and is calling on the Lord to help him. How is it that he is Trusting the Lord, AND SUFFERING? Don't fall for the trap of, "I'm in Christ, I should have NO ADVERSITY". if you're in Christ, YOU WILL SUFFER GREAT ADVERSITY. Christ Himself will work you over way more than anything Satan can dream of. Christ is not the Adversary TO THE BELIEVER, He is the Adversary TO THOSE SNEAKY SPOTS OF WORLDLINESS STILL TRYING TO HIDE OUT IN THE SECRETE CORNERS OF YOUR HEART, of the Believer. Joseph was a Godly man, AND THE LORD CRUSHED HIM LIKE A GRAPE, to get him to the place He wanted Joseph at. To the Believer, Adversity is straight from the Hand of the Lord, Himself. Yes, He may use Satan to beat on you, (right Job?), but it all comes from the Hand of the Lord TO GROW YOU INTO CHRISTLIKENESS, as a vessel suitable for the Master's use. Yes, talk to the Lord in the midst of your Troubles, but don't run from them, RUN TO THEM, and let the Lord work out His Plan and Purpose THROUGHOUT your Life. No, God won't Tempt you to sin, but Satan will, and the Lord will use that to show you the hidden things in your Heart. Be Victorious and, Be Blessed.
