MORNINGTIME 3640

..... My son, DESPISE NOT thou the chastening of the Lord, NOR FAINT when thou art rebuked of him: For WHOM THE LORD LOVETH HE CHASTENETH, and scourgeth every son WHOM HE RECEIVETH. If ye ENDURE CHASTENING, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof ALL ARE PARTAKERS, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Hebrews 12:5-8. Chastisement = disciplinary correction. The Lord will Discipline ALL who are His, to bring them to "The Place" He wants them to be at. The Holy Spirit draws all men to Christ. It is then up to that person to come to Christ in Repentance unto Salvation, or to ultimately Reject Christ. Only the Holy Spirit knows that point in a person's life. Those of you now In Christ know the feel of Chastening in your Life. AND, those not yet, (but will be) In Christ ALSO know the feel of Chastening because they belong to Christ even though they are yet to be Saved. Many times, the Hardness of the Chastening used to bring one to Christ is just a little more intense than the hardness of heart a person has just before Repentance unto Salvation takes hold. NO ONE is forced to "come to Christ", but Christ Knows ALL who are, or will be His, and He, the Holy Spirit is at work throughout ALL their Life. Pharaoh was so hard hearted it took the extreme severity of 10 hard plagues to finally break him to let the people go. Saul, (Paul), was much easier to come to Christ, he only had to be knocked off his *** (donkey) to get his attention. Different "Intensities" of Chastening to get the Desired Results, as the Lord sees them. After Salvation, Chastening still is used, as needed, to bring us to the Place in Christ we need to be. Chastening is a GOoD Thing, so wrap your arms around it, hang on for Dear Life, as the Lord brings you into a Holy you've never even dreamed of. Chastening, Chastising and Correction, they each and all bring us further into Christ, to Greatly, Be Blessed.
