MORNINGTIME 3644

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, THIS IS ACCEPTABLE WITH GOD. For even hereunto were ye called: because CHRIST also suffered for us, leaving us AN EXAMPLE, that YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: 1 Peter 2:19-23. Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, THOSE I COUNTED LOSS FOR CHRIST. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the Knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss OF ALL THINGS, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Philippians 3:6-8. Christ, our Example, suffered as no man ever has or ever will, as He took upon Himself every sin of all mankind. Until we suffer like Him, we have no room to complain about ANYTHING. Paul suffered at the hands of men, and suffered the loss of all things. His whole life of Religiosity and worldly gain was counted as dung. Only him in Christ and Christ in him was found to be Pleasing to the Lord. Believer, if you suffer IN Christ, THROUGH Christ and WITH Christ, that sounds like a normal Christian Life with Christ right in the middle of it. Mourn not for the loss of self, flesh and the old man nature, that "loss" will only reveal Christ in you as you reflect Christ to a lost and dying world. Suffer quietly as an unjust world tries to kill Christ in you. They can't do it. Even to kill you is simply the body falling off as the Spirit goes on to be with the Lord for all of Eternity. All suffering, for the Believer, will be forgotten as you see Christ, and you will, Be Blessed.
