MORNINGTIME 3650by Benjamin Munsell on December 24, 2020
And Jesus went into the temple of God, AND CAST OUT all them that sold and bought in the temple, AND OVERTHREW the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER; but ye have made it a den of thieves. Matthew 21:12-13. Know ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, HIM SHALL GOD DESTROY; for the temple of God is Holy, WHICH TEMPLE YE ARE. 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17. But ye have profaned (your offerings), in that ye say, The table of the Lord is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible. (We will offer OUR offerings OUR way, as WE see fit). Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it (to have to find that Perfect offering)! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the Lord of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the Lord. But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a (defective) male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen. Malachi 1:12-14. It is so much easier these days to go to church and offer God our 2nd best, or worse, offerings. To go through the motions, "I'm here God, you should appreciate that". Your heart's not in it, but you offer it anyway. "The music is off, the praise is wimpy, the sermon is for someone else, let's just go home and watch the game, to take my mind off of all the stuff I have to deal with all week". A hard day at the office is one thing, but a hard heart brings on great troubles if it's not dealt with. Ask the Lord to help you Praise Him with your Whole Heart and Life, in the Way that is Pleasing to Him and "health to the bones" to you. To Praise the Lord in Spirit and in Truth will Beautify your whole day, and you will, Be Blessed.
