And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luke 4:1-2. This is a picture of Christ, as a man, fully, completely, thoroughly and soundly defeating Satan and all fleshly desires for the things of the world. Christ is our example and He is showing us we too should strive for the same mastery over the flesh, as He did. These verses also illustrate what the Bride of Christ will look, act, believe and be like on this earth just before Christ comes to Receive His Bride. These verses also show Satan Who Christ Is and that even when Christ was "as other men", being filled with the Holy Spirit, even on Satan's terms, Satan still couldn't defeat Christ. AND CHRISTIANS TODAY DON'T HAVE TO SUFFER DEFEAT BY SATAN IF THEY DON'T WANT TO. Yes, we learn and grow in Christ THROUGH life's battles, but Victory is ours every time we choose to take it thought absolute Obedience to the Leading of the Holy Spirit. The Bride of Christ will obey NOTHING of Satan and this world, and EVERYTHING of Christ and His Holy Spirit. "Be ye Holy for I am Holy", and, "without spot, blemish or wrinkle", means Walking PERFECTLY before the Lord. (His definition of "Perfect"). This is not some pie in the sky hope, but the Reality Today of the Best Christ has before us to strive for and walk into as much as we want. Each person in Christ is running his own race and can have as much of Christ and CHRISTLIKENESS as he seriously wants as Filled with the Holy Spirit in complete Obedience. The only thing holding you back from Walking in this Fullness of Christ is any remaining desires for the things of the flesh and the pull of this world. Is your Heart Attitude FOR Christ, THEN GO FOR IT, BE ALL YOU CAN BE IN CHRIST, FOLLOW THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER, LIVE IN VICTORY DAILY, and, Be Blessed.
