MORNINGTIME 3682

And Jesus being FULL OF THE HOLY GHOST returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, BEING FORTY DAYS TEMPTED OF THE DEVIL. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. Luke 4:1-2. The Bible indicates, depending on how you interpret it, that Satan tempted Christ in the wilderness for all of those 40 days, and in the end, it came down to those 3 big questions with Christ answering Strongly with The Word. That's 40 days of subtle urgings, playing on the needs of the flesh, ever so slight thoughts of easing up on Prayer Time with the Father, just sleep a little longer, it won't hurt anything, trying to amplify in His Mind the body's need for some water, a piece of bread, thoughts of needing company, anything and everything Satan could do to try to get Christ to slip up, EVEN ONCE. And he couldn't do it. Satan had Christ all to himself for 40 days and 40 nights, Satan, the Master Deceiver, the Father of all lies, THE BEST OF EVERYTHING EVIL, couldn't get Christ off track in even the slightest nuance of sin. If Satan can get into your mind, even a little, like a crowbar, he'll try to make that little, a lot. CHRIST WENT THROUGH 40 DAYS OF ENDLESS TEMPTATION, AND CAME OUT TOTALLY VICTORIOUS ON THE OTHER SIDE. He is our Example and He has shown us IT CAN BE DONE. The next time the Lord speaks to you and you give in anyway to that candy bar, that little more sleep, that worldly thought, GIRD UP YOUR MIND WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, CALL ON THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, SATURATE YOURSELF IN HIS WORD, ASK HIS FORGIVENESS, AND KEEP ON GOING. Learn from your mistakes, remember how Satan attacks, grow FROM your failure and grow INTO Christ. Keep learning, keep obeying, keep growing into and with the Mind of Christ. Hear that Still, Small Voice, grow in Obedience, YOU, FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, CAN COME THROUGH VICTORIOUSLY EVERY TIME YOU DESIRE TO. Christ did, and in Him, you can to. Seek the Mind of Christ, and Be Blessed.
