For the time is come that JUDGMENT MUST BEGIN AT THE HOUSE OF GOD: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God? AND IF THE RIGHTEOUS SCARCELY BE SAVED, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? WHEREFORE LET THEM THAT SUFFER ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD commit the Keeping of their souls to Him IN WELL DOING, as unto a Faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:17-19. Be careful here and understand the intent, I recently made the statement, "How much you suffer in and for Christ will reflect how much you want Holiness". This does NOT mean the more you suffer, the more you'll be Holy. If you're caught stealing and someone severely beats on you, this is not suffering unto Holiness. But if your Heart's Cry is to Live a Life of Holiness, yes, the Lord may very well "work you over" to bring your flesh into submission, that it no longer tries to have its way as you learn to walk more and more in Victory over sin, flesh and the old man nature. "He must increase, but I must decrease", John 3:30, means Christ must increase in you as your desires for self, flesh and old man nature are made to decrease, even to the point of no effect. No, I'm not saying you'll be Perfect, but to strive to be like Christ in Faith and Obedience is a GOoD start. I'm just saying that Holiness will cost you, and Christ has already Paid the Price, the Cost, for you to Walk in all the Holiness, (CHRISTLIKENESS), you can handle. How much of Christ do you want in your Life? HE'S NEVER TURNED DOWN HOLINESS TO A HUNGRY HEART. We're only scratching the surface of what's available to someone Hungry for Christ. Don't fear the hurt, Rejoice in the Results. To Grow in Christ is to Grow in Holiness, Righteousness, Purity, and Patience, into Faithfulness, Obedience and Boldness, Desiring to have ALL He has in store for you with no fear of the Future and all Praise for the present. Satan hates Christ, and he hates Christ in you. What a Wonderful Way to Eternally, Be Blessed.
