MORNINGTIME 3791

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and Live? For they ( fathers of our flesh) for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure (of teaching us right from wrong); but He (Father of Spirits) for our Profit, (to grow in CHRISTLIKENESS) that we might be partakers of His Holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous (TO THE FLESH), but grievous: NEVERTHELESS afterward it yieldeth the Peaceable Fruit Of Righteousness (and the Absolute Joy of Knowing that the Father of Spirits is Growing us In Christ) unto them (Believers) which are exercised (desiring to be Chastened) thereby. Hebrews 12:9-11. Here's the point of all this, "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous" is talking about the flesh of man, as in flesh, self and old man nature, and the flesh will do everything it can to not be physically hurt or receive pain. Flesh is selfish. BUT THE SPIRIT IN MAN, FED AND MINISTERED TO BY THE LORD, CRIES OUT, "LORD, MAKE ME HOLY, RIGHTEOUS AND PURE, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. CHRIST PAID IT ALL, FILL ME IN CHRISTLIKENESS". The idea of pain and suffering becomes nonexistent, unimportant  and of no concern when we look in the Face of Christ and see His Love for us. To be like Him becomes ALL, and pain and suffering becomes nothing. "Whatever it takes Lord, all that You have in store for me is GOoD, let's do it, on Your terms, Your Will, Your Way, in Your Time, as You see fit, all this in Jesus Holy Name, Amen and Amen". THIS, is a Heart's Cry of one yearning for Christ, and MORE of Christ. Like running a race, "I know my feet will be sore when I'm done, but that doesn't matter, LET'S GO WIN A RACE". When we get past the part of worrying about the flesh and leave it all in the Lord's Hands, Pain, real AND imagined, becomes of no concern as we Run this Race with and for, Christ. Be Chastened, be Joyful, and Be Blessed.
