And as it is APPOINTED unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27. Death will eventually come for every man, woman and child on the planet. Many people greatly fear Death because it's a doorway into the Unknown. Others are doing their best to hang on to life and all the "stuff" they've accumulated in this life. For those who don't know Christ as their Lord and Saviour, the "Fear" of death can be a very good thing. It can encourage them to investigate what happens after death, and that could bring them to seek out answers to their questions. This could lead them to a new Relationship with Christ. On the other hand, as a Christian grows in his understanding of Who Christ Is, his old fear of death starts to diminish as his Love for and Trust in the Life found in Christ takes over. Learning that physical death, where the body stops working, is just the doorway into Eternal Life with Christ, now becomes a Great Comfort to Believers. To Grow In Christ is to move away from the fears of this world and into the Security Christ has for every Believer here on this earth and on into Heaven. Christ IS Life, and Life more Abundantly. As Christ fills your life, fear falls by the wayside. The fear of death, the fear of tomorrow, the fear of the unknown, all start to go away as the Joy of Life and Life Eternal fill your Heart, Soul, Mind and Body. Jesus Christ himself will give you such an Assurance of your Eternity, that ALL FEAR falls away. What's left? The Joy of the Lord with the Peace that passes Understanding. Fear can kill. Christ brings Peace and Joy. Which kind of life do you now have, and which kind of Life do you want? Christ is beside you offering Life in Him, and all you have to do is ask for It. Trust Him that He Is Who He says He Is, the Son of God who died in your place that you could have Life in Him WITH NO FEAR. His Gift of Life is free, but to say "No" to Him only leaves great fear of death on the pathway to Hell. Love Christ, and Be Blessed.
