MORNINGTIME 4029 

And the Word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and Preach unto it the Preaching that I bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the Word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, YET FORTY DAYS, AND NINEVEH SHALL BE OVERTHROWN. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. Jonah 3:1-5. This is a good picture of the Power, Intensity and Holiness of the Word of the Lord. Jonah spoke the Word to the people in Obedience to exactly what the Lord told him to say. Jonah said no more, and he said no less, than what he was told to say. AND THE WHOLE CITY CAME IN REPENTANCE, in Obedience to what the Lord said to them. As Jonah Preached to the city, he was full of anger against the Lord because he KNEW the Lord would save them from the Judgment that, (in Jonah's mind), they so richly deserved. Here's the point, whether a Preacher if full of anger, or full of Love when he Preaches the Word, people can come to Christ no matter what the attitude of the Preacher is. It's not about how much "love" you have or don't have to try to Save people, it's ALL about Preaching the Word the Lord gives you to Preach. And the Holy Spirit will take it from there and bring Salvation to all He deems ready for Salvation. Your good attitude or your bad attitude will make no difference as to the results the Holy Spirit gets as He brings in the Lost sheep. Salvation truly is a work of the Holy Spirit, AND NO MAN CAN CHANGE THAT. And that's a good thing because if man could say who gets Saved or not, there would be a lot fewer people getting Saved. We can Obey and Preach Christ, but the results of that Preaching are out of our hands. So the next time the Lord asks you to Preach,  Preach Christ, and you WILL, Be Blessed.
