And now, behold, I have brought the Firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it (10%) before the Lord thy God, and Worship before the Lord thy God: And thou shalt Rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you. When thou hast made an end of Tithing all the Tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of Tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I have brought away the Hallowed Things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them: Deuteronomy 26:10-13. For I am the Lord, I change not.... Malachi 3:6. That's the LEGAL aspect of Tithing, giving the Lord back 10% of your increase. Can't find Tithing in the New Testament? That's OK, the New Testament is all about Heart Attitude. If you're looking for a way to not tithe because it's "not there", it's OK, don't tithe, just walk away. But if your Heart Attitude is that EVERYTHING you have is from the Lord, and you gladly give Him 10%, 20%, 40%, it doesn't matter, IT'S ALL HIS ANYWAY AND I GLADLY GIVE HIM IT ALL, AS HE DIRECTS, then you've passed from the "legality" of tithing and gone straight to the Heart's Cry of acknowledging the Lord owns it all and all your stuff is really His, AND YOU'RE GLAD TO LEAVE IT ALL WITH HIM, it's now a Willfully Given Praise Offering, and that, He Loves. Flesh wants to keep it all, Spirit knows it's all the Lord's anyway, and Love says Thank You. On a scale of "flesh to Spirit", where are you? Is your Heart striving for Spirit and all His? Where on this scale will you Eternally, Be Blessed?
