MORNINGTIME 4044

And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God: AND THOU SHALT REJOICE IN EVERY GOOD THING WHICH THE LORD THY GOD HATH GIVEN UNTO THEE, AND UNTO THINE HOUSE, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you. Deuteronomy 26:10-11. Let's look at the other side of the coin here. We've seen we need to Rejoice with all the "good" stuff we have been given from the Lord, and we also need to Rejoice with all the "bad" stuff we get from the Lord. (As an illustration). What's "bad" stuff? Those times when the Holy Spirit gets on your case and tells you that "thing" you did is totally unacceptable, and you have to go back and make it right. The times when the Lord deals harshly with the actions and deeds of your self, flesh and old man nature, AND IT HURTS. Those times when sin has taken place and it feels like the Lord has turned His Back to you, or even left you. That's a Terror all by itself. Or when a Brother or Sister publicly calls you out on something you've said that shouldn't have been said. You get the picture. None of these things are fun or enjoyable, BUT THEY MUST BE DONE TO KILL THE FLESH AND DRAW YOU INTO CHRISTLIKENESS. That's the "Rejoice" part, that the Lord still cares, and your friends care enough to want to help keep you on the Narrow Path. To have Cancer is hard, to have surgery is even harder, but to find the Cancer is totally GONE, makes it all worth the pain and now you can Rejoice. TODAY is the day to Rejoice that the Lord is already working on tomorrow's problems, because today's problems are already solved and all you have to do is live out today and see the Handiwork of the Lord AND REJOICE. Yes, you can Rejoice AFTER you see Victory, but isn't it Sweeter to Rejoice BEFORE you see that Victory? To KNOW that flesh is "going down" and Rejoice in ALL Things well before you see any results, is to, Be Blessed.
