MORNINGTIME 4049by Benjamin Munsell on July 7, 2022
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34. The Lord knows just how much we Believers can handle in a day's time. He built us in the manner of His choosing and has taught us what our days should look like. He has given us the ability to only handle TODAY'S problems, situations and circumstances, AND NO MORE. We are to handle today with all its Blessings and troubles in absolute Obedience to the Leading of the Holy Spirit, then go to bed for a good night's sleep. In Faith, the Lord will take care of tomorrow, tomorrow. But we, being of the fallen Adamic nature try to take on much more than we should for today, AND GENERALLY MAKE A REAL MESS OF IT. And if the Lord does give some indication of events to come "Tomorrow", we are to still add, "If the Lord Wills", and still leave it all in His Hands anyway. Sure, make all the Plans you want to, but leave them all in the Hands of the Lord to make ANY changes He wants to to ultimately make "Today" even better. It's ALL about living by Faith, and not by sight. Today's 24-hour Gift is so Special, it's called "The Present" and comes straight from the Hand of the Lord, TO YOU. Ask the Lord to hold all the rest of everything in His Hands and just divvy them out to you one 24-hour segment at a time. That's all out little 3-pound brains can handle. Faith will grow and Obedience will become even sharper, AND PEACE AND JOY WILL RULE THE DAY as we give Him all our future worries and fears about Tomorrow. For many people this is a new Concept. Just Trust the Lord, He's an Old Pro at handling the Future, BECAUSE HE MADE IT, and Knows EXACTLY what He's Doing. If we can't Guarantee what will happen 5 minutes from now, then today's Present is the best we can even try to do. "Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again, I say, Rejoice". Philippians 4:4. Fill the Present with singing, and Rejoice that TODAY, you will, Be Blessed.
