MORNINGTIME 4059

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25. Back in the day when Paul wrote these verses there were no official "church buildings" for Christians to meet in. They would meet in house gatherings. That said, this verse is still just as true today as back then. The instruction is, "Get together and talk over the things of the Lord", the key word being, Get Together. Persecution can greatly influence where many, or few, people can gather together. It's not the same "get together" in North Korea as it is in America, but some sort of Fellowship is called for. So far, we still have the world's greatest available freedom for Church Worship, thank you Lord. And it doesn't hurt to expand these instructions by adding it's OK to talk to your neighbor at the laundromat, grocery store or street corner. Going to a "Big Church Building" is not a requirement, but gathering together wherever is still a good thing, even if it is in a big building. The "Church" is really Believers fully sold out to Christ. From the Biblical perspective, the Lord God Almighty, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Lord Holy Spirit make up the Triune Godhead as the Leader of the Church. (Note, all other religions, faiths and denominations not following this Triune Godhead as written in the Bible is following a god of their own making and are free to follow that god however they want). But our God, THE God of the Bible has laid down some specific instructions as to how and where He would like to be Praised and Worshipped. Our God is not a dictator, but He does have certain Guidelines He wants us to Follow. AS DOES ANY AND EVERY RELIGIOUS BELIEF. Our meeting together has huge Benefits no other religion, faith or denomination can offer and assembling ourselves together is one of them. It's also a great way to compare notes and help out one another. So, get together, and, Be Blessed.
