MORNINGTIME 4114by Benjamin Munsell on October 6, 2022
And the Grace of our Lord was Exceeding Abundant with Faith and Love which is in Christ Jesus. This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the Prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a GOoD warfare; Holding Faith, and a GOoD Conscience; which some having put away concerning Faith have made shipwreck: 1 Timothy 1:14,18-19. Without the Pure Unadulterated Word of the Lord driven deep down into your Heart, Life and Soul, AND ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE TO IT, you will shipwreck. The WORD is your ships Rudder and with the proper handling and sensitivity to turn to the Port or to the Starboard, you can make it around and past the shoals of Prosperity and Want. With just enough Prospering, your life will be balanced and full of the Lord's Contentment. As the Lord Himself gives you "just enough", you won't have want and you won't have too much. Both want and excess will try to Distract you from your proper Course through Life. If you have want, you'll always be looking for more and miss that Christ is enough. If you have too much prosperity, you'll spend your time worrying about how and where to keep it all and miss that your excess was sent to you to Bless others. You will be tested both ways, with wanting more and having too much. That test will come from the Hand of the Lord Himself to see if you'll keep your eyes on Him your Compass, and not on your stuff, distracted. As you find Contentment in Christ no matter what's going on around you, no matter what your situations and circumstances, you'll have the Perfect Peace and Joy of Receiving and Giving as the Lord Directs. And that Contentment will keep you on the Straight and Narrow Path of Safety and Security in, with and through our Captain, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Christ. When the "Siren Call" comes, (something that is very appealing and makes a person want to go somewhere or do something but that may have bad results), you'll sail right on past, and Eternally, Be Blessed.
