MORNINGTIME  4119

Now the Word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before Me. Jonah 1:1-2. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the Word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, "YET FORTY DAYS, AND NINEVEH SHALL BE OVERTHROWN". So, the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would do unto them; and He did it not. Jonah 3:3-5,10. Jonah was angry and hated these viscous people. He did not have a "kind and loving" attitude towards this people. He wanted the Lord to wipe them off the face of the earth. But he Obeyed and Preached what the Lord told him to Preach, AND THEY ALL REPENTED OF THEIR EVIL WAYS AND TURNED TO GOD FOR FORGIVENESS. These people were absolutely headed for the Perfect Shipwreck, and they listened to the last warning before disaster struck. They turned away from evil and to the Lord. It is this simple to Hear, Heed and "Heel Over", (To turn your ship in a different direction, away from the rocks). Only Pride can stand in your way of Safety. Pride will stop you in your tracks and get you killed if you don't deal with it. "Pride goeth before destruction, (Shipwreck) and an Haughty Spirit before a Fall". Proverbs 16:18. You can fall stiff necked and break because of Pride, or, you can fall on your face at the Feet of Christ in Brokenness unto Repentance and Safety, and avoid Eternal Shipwreck. The choice IS this easy and the results can be Eternal. All the warning signs of impending Shipwreck are there to be seen AND HEEDED. The Lord will open your eyes AND HEART if you will just ask Him to, and you will Greatly, Be Blessed.
