And Saul and the men of Israel, (the Good guys), were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines, (the bad guys). And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. (The little sheppard boy, David, full of Faith in the Power of the Lord said to the bad guy Goliath), This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; THAT ALL THE EARTH MAY KNOW THAT THERE IS A GOD IN ISRAEL. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands. 1 Samuel 17:2-3,46-47. (I will add Biblically to this story as an illustration, TO MAKE A POINT). This can happen in any army at any time in history. Imagine some in the bad guy army, (deserters) KNOW that they are on the losing side and are unjust and wicked in all their army does to their enemy. That to attack the army of good people following their Good God, is a losing proposition, AND THESE DESERTERS KNOW THAT TO BE CAPTURED AND HELD BY THE GOoD GUY ARMY, BECAUSE OF THEIR MERCY AND GRACE, IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE DEATH THAT AWAITS THEM WHEN THEY ATTACK THE GOoD GUY ARMY. These "deserters" quietly sneak away, raise the White Flag in surrender, and Joyfully give themselves over to the Authority of the Just King and His Merciful Mandates. THIS is Salvation offered from the Just and Righteous King to all the "bad guys" who Know death and destruction await them in their ultimate defeat. Whether it's about David and 
 Goliath, or the part-time followers of the anti-Christ, (no "mark" on them yet), they quietly run to Christ and gladly submit to His Will and His Way. This Great Mercy and Grace is where you will, Be Blessed.
