As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is GOoD News from a far country. Proverbs 25:25. It has been said to Believers, "Don't drive your tent pegs too deep, we're just passing through on our way Home to a Far Country". We are to use what food and water we need in our Travels, and whatever else we need to in Obedience to the Lord as we head Home, and to not get entangled with the twisted affairs of this world as that will only slow down our travels to Elsewhere. The "GOoD News from a far country", is the Word of the Lord, (Who built this place) , giving us all we need to successfully travel through this land without getting caught up with the wicked affairs of the people of this land. AND, to even invite the people of this land to come with us to our fast approaching "Far Country". As we are to be Heavenly Minded looking forward to our new Home in the Heavenlies, we are also to be Wise knowing the deceitful and wicked ways of this world, "working in the field already white unto Harvest". We are to be about the Lord's Business while staying Clean and Pure and not entangled with the things of this world and it's life. It literally takes the Hand of God to take us out of the filth and shame of sin in this world, clean us up, and put us back into this world AS HE KEEPS US NOW PURE AND HOLY WHILE STILL WORKING TO OFFER SALVATION TO ALL WHO WILL LISTEN. Only the Lord can work something like this out as all OUR efforts just end up in a mess. The Lord is Gracious and Full of Mercy to ALL who will call on His Name to be freed from the ravages of death and sin. "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto Heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities". Revelation 18:4-5. This world is on a fast track to Death and Destruction as Judgment is about to be poured out on all who live to enjoy her sins. Reject worldliness and sin, and, Be Blessed.
