MORNINGTIME 2833

We then, as workers together with him , beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.) 2 Corinthians 6:1-2. To hear the GOoD News of The Gospel, AND REJECT IT, is a very dangerous thing to do. Even with the best of intentions, "I know that what the preacher is saying is true and applies to me, he's absolutely right about all that he's saying about me, and I need to do what he's saying to do, and I will, TOMORROW", IS STILL A FULL AND COMPLETE REJECTION OF WHAT THE LORD IS TELLING YOU TO DO. The Lord Knows Best. He will never tell a person to do something today IF IT WEREN'T IMPORTANT, FOR TODAY. He Knows what the future holds for you for  tomorrow, and is asking you to do for today, what needs to be done today. For example, (the Lord talking), "I want you to come to Me today in Repentance and Forgiveness because later this afternoon, you will die in a car wreck. Right now is your most Wonderful Time to Follow My Son and receive the Eternal Life He Paid For, for you". No, this is not using scare tactics to work on your emotions, but that for some people, this is their Reality. We are not Promised tomorrow, as for some, tomorrow never comes. Some may live without Christ for another 20 years, and then "Get Saved". To assume that YOU will have that time left to think about His Offer of Salvation, is to say you know the Future and you're OK. Isn't that the greatest form of Arrogance a man can come up with? To tell God you have lots of time left to "think" about His Offer, and you'll "get back" to Him about it, Later? Yes, learning to hear the voice of the Lord is very important as Christians ALSO need to Obey the Lord today, when He tells them to do something TODAY. But Salvation is the FIRST REQUIRED OBEDIENCE to start Walking WITH the Lord, that you may TODAY, Be Blessed.
